James, 1st edn, 78 pp, conts. leaf, 2 text woodcuts. Most attractively bound in full nineteenth century full red morocco with gilt edges and gilt inner dentelles. Some pages repaired with some loss of text. The Rev. Nobbes was not the earliest writer on Trolling, (Barker, Walton, etc. having gone before) but he has always been considered the father of that branch of the sport. Scarce. |
